Über Tische und Bänke // Over tables and benches
The time has come: After the drama and music theater sections, ballet now enters the classroom and dances there over tables and benches.
Dance is immediate, touches, touches and needs no language. The topic of being foreign is choreographed and presented in the classroom. You can be foreign in another city, in another country whose language you do not speak, in another culture with foreign customs and customs. You can feel alienated in groups, in the family, in your own body - or simply in a school class.
Up close, the students experience how a choreography is created, what a dancer's life looks like and what it all belongs to. They immerse themselves in the world of dance and are confronted with the theme in a very humorous way, reminding them of what it was like to be new to the classroom. At the same time, they can interactively influence the event at the moment of meeting the dancers: How do I react? With rejection, anger, fear, understanding, openness, acceptance, support, joy ...? After the performance in the classroom, students will have the opportunity to share their experiences, talk to the dancers, and perhaps tell their own story.
