Adrián Castelló was born in Alicante (ES) in 1983. After finishing his studies in Biology as a Master of Science (M.Sc.) he acquired his Título Profesional de Danza Contemporánea at the Conservatory of Dance in Valencia (ES) in 2009. Through engagements as a dancer in Spain, Italy, Belgium, and Germany, he developed a rich repertoire of contemporary tech-nique, floor work, and dance theatre. Adrián also practices acrobatics (cloth, trapeze, ring), which he learned while working with the Zoppis Circus in Rome (IT). In his own works, he created his individual dance style by combining contemporary dance and aerial acrobatics.

Since 2013 he has been living in Germany and is engaged as a choreographer, choreographic assistant and dancer at the Cologne Opera, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf-Duisburg, the Theater Dortmund, the Theater Bonn, and the Theater Aachen. He has also worked with the international company »La Fura dels Baus« as well as freelance with companies, photographers and other artists from various disciplines. From 2014 to 2022, Adrián was a member of the Cologne dance house TanzFaktur, where he regularly taught contemporary dance.

As a choreographer, he has worked on several of his own dance productions since 2015, most recently »VITRUVIAN HUMAN« (2023). His piece »IN_TRANSIT« was nominated for the Cologne Dance & Theatre Awards in 2021.

Alongside his artistic work, Adrián worked with Theater und Orchester Heidelberg from 2022 until 2025 - first as Festival Manager for the International Dance Biennale 2023, and later as Artistic Production Manager, overseeing international collaborations for Dance Theatre Heidelberg. Currently he is Company Manager of Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, being responsible for artistic operations, production management and international touring.
